A list of products we use on our natural hair and what the benefits are. Certain hair doesn’t like certain products but all of these work for us. I will add pictures and info about where to buy.
My scalp was dry from the weather and these are $1.49 – $1.69. The Tea Tree Oil is my favorite so far. I am using on my scalp every 3 to 4 days and it is working. 1.5 oz can oil my scalp all week and more.
Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Deep Treatment Masque is an excellent product for anyone new to their natural hair journey. I don’t suggest you buy the whole line of products in this series but you should give this a try. It makes my hair look and feel great. It softens my hair, it is moisturizing, and not too expensive. You can order it from Amazon.com or purchase in some stores. It has a very fruity smell that you need to be aware of before purchase. It can tend to be a bit fragrant when you first apply it but it dies down over the course of a day or overnight. It can be used as a leave in conditioner or rinsed out. I use it both ways. Works really great for a pre poo as well.
Dr. Miracle’s Feel It Formula Cleanse & Condition Conditioning Shampoo blended with Olive and Jojoba Oils is a great shampoo that really feels great in your hair. It leaves your hair softer and more manageable. The first time I appreciated the beauty of my natural hair and was able to see my actual curl pattern was after using this shampoo. It is very conditioning and is Paraben and Sulfate free. It has a nice herbal smell to it and after washing my hair with it, I took a picture of it without conditioner. It was so soft and shiny as promised. It also was cleaner than with other products. I found this product at my local beauty supply store.
We use these two products or our hair and scalp. Dr. Miracle’s Daily Anti-Breakage Strengthening Crème is our favorite. It’s very soothing on your scalp and lightweight. It is a crème rather than a grease. It relieves dry scalp and itching. It has a nice smell and a little goes a long way. I use this with an oil blend that I made for the Spring. I use Dr. Miracle’s Hot Grow Hair & Scalp Treatment on my daughters’ hair because her scalp tends to be really dry. This product in combination with Avocado Oil keeps her hair and scalp from being dry. She is 7 years old and has Eczema. Anything that works in her hair is a plus since she also has sensitive skin. This product is more like a scalp grease or oil. It is a lot thicker than the Anti-Breakage and is a bit more heavy. It also has a light sent. It smells a bit like some type of oranges to my daughter who’s hair and scalp stays moist now. You can order both these products from Amazon.com I bought them both to see which one worked the best for us. I found them both at my local beauty supply store.
EDEN BodyWorks Coconut Shea Refresh & Renew Leave In Conditioner is an amazing product. I bought this with the shampoo and conditioner for the winter because my hair was dry and I was looking for products to keep it moisturized. It is very lightweight and smells wonderful. It is Paraben and Sulfate free and leaves you hair feeling so soft that you wonder how you lived without it. I use this after I wash my hair when I am air drying it and blow drying. I also use it to condition my hair in between protective styles.
